As with most of the news this weekend, this comes to us from the SDCC.

It is being reported by numerous sources that Sam Raimi has confirmed that EVIL DEAD 4 is a go.

Here is what he had to say when asked about EVIL DEAD 4:

I'd love to make another Evil Dead picture. And actually that's in the wheelhouse. I'd like to work on it with my brother Ivan when he comes up next week.

And when asked about Bruce Campbell's involvement he said: he wants to test Bruce's pain tolerance.

Interesting comment.  Speculation is swirling as to if this will be another chapter in the saga or the much discussed "remake".  Either way it sounds like something is moving ahead and lets hope that this time it actually comes to pass.
