Fango is reporting today that Die You Zombie Bastards has been picked up for DVD release.  Here is what they're reporting:

The folks behind the crazed horror/comedy DIE YOU ZOMBIE BASTARDS! gave Fango the good news that their movie has been picked up for DVD distribution by Image Entertainment. “Image is also home to the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis, Ed Wood, Mario Bava and Jess Franco as well as the Something Weird, Criterion and Playboy collections. We’re simply thrilled that DYZB! will be hitting the stores in such esteemed company,” says co-writer/co-producer Haig Demarjian.

Director/co-writer/co-producer Caleb Emerson tells Fango, “The DVD should be released in four to seven months. As far as bonus material goes, I have to be a little vague, because I’m still compiling it, and I don’t know how much of what we deliver to Image will actually be used. But I can say that it will hopefully have a commentary track by myself and Haig Demarjian, a blooper reel, a behind the scenes featurette of about 20-30 minutes, and possibly) an interview with me from the local TV show DARK NEW ENGLAND. I have to get permission to edit it down, though, ’cause it was done by a big Troma fan and half of the interview is about CITIZEN TOXIE.

“There will also be a bunch of music-related stuff,” he continues. “I have some great live video of Sawzall, a band made up entirely of actresses from the movie, doing the opening-credits song “Kill Kill”—and a whole show, actually. I have another show by the Demon Seeds where they perform two songs from the movie, some live Hasil Adkins [who has an acting role in DYZB!] stuff and hopefully more. I’m still waiting to hear back from some of the bands. I also have a ton of outtakes and deleted stuff, but I’m going to stay away from that for now. This is a new movie that not many people have seen yet, and just as a fan and DVD buyer, I usually couldn’t care less about that kind of stuff from new films, just the ones I already know and love. So that material will probably surface on the 10th-anniversary edition or something.”

If you haven’t yet heard of this film I recommend you head on over to the films official site and check it out.
