John Fallon. Does the name mean anything to you? Well it should. John is the man behind Arrow in the Head one of the oldest and best horror movie new websites around. He sent along an email this morning announcing that the new film he is working on goes into production starting today and it looks pretty interesting. Here is what it is all about.
A genre film that I'm working on starts shooting tomorrow (Thursday, February 9 2006, aiming for a 2007 release date) and you bet I'll mention it! The flick is RECON 2022: THE MEZZO INCIDENT (Directed by Christian Viel - Written by Viel, myself and William Alexander).
Its a semi sequel (since it also works as a stand alone) to the Sci-Fi/Horror jamboree RECON 2020 (also directed by Viel) which was released last year in some territories (we're still working on the US of A).
The film stars Anderson Bradshaw (Gothika), Carmen Echeverria (Undressed) and Deke Richards (Pain Killer) with special appearances by our very own JoBlo (aka Berge Garabedian), Scream Queen Suzi Lorraine (Chainsaw Sally), which you see on the above pic and myself (playing "Cybermerc", the leader of the Killer Borgs). As for the Special Makeup Effects, they're handled by George Tucci (Secret Window) and his Fallen Angel FX Team.
Here's the Synopsis: Two years after the events of the first film, and introduces a new cast of endearing characters as well as bringing back familiar ones. After the gruesome events on Caprini, Sharp (Anderson Bradshaw) and his elite team of tough, witty and trigger happy space Marines must now head out to the icy planet Mezzo to investigate further Ma’har activities. What they will encounter will defy their imaginations as they tackle giant man eating snow worms, an underground city of Cyborgs, a slew of murderous alien entities and maybe, finally, the ever elusive Ma’hars.
So, there ya have it. We’ll keep an eye on it for you and update you as we get the info.
