Bloody Disgusting is reporting via THR that the classic Deathdream is about to undergo the remake treatment.  Death Dream is a great film and one of the first in this string of “remake madness” that I am actually a little excited to see happen.  The remake will be retitled Zero Dark Thirty.

Here is what BD is reporting:

Odd Lot Entertainment has acquired and will produce Zero Dark Thirty, a film written by "The Grudge" and "The Grudge 2" scribe Stephen Susco, according to the Hollywood Reporter. We've been informed that the film is a remake of the 1974 Canadian horror-pic Dead of Night, which is also known as 'Death Dream'! The remake centers on a young U.S. Army soldier who returns after serving in the Mideast. As he settles into his former life, his tranquil small town is riveted by a series of strange and violent occurrences.
