House of the Dead 2: Dead Aim

 Mike Hurst will be directing the sequel to House of the Dead, called HOTD2: Dead Aim. In the initial film, a group of college students attend a rave on a remote island, and soon find themselves feelin the love of hundreds of zombies.  Weapons are few and far between, and after some time they take refuge in an ancient house - where they are picked off one by one in the House of the Dead.  Picking up where the last film left off, government operatives investigate the island and the mysterious house.   The director of the first film, Uwe Boll, did not return to the sequel due to his commitment to Bloodrayne - and in my personal opinion, this can only lead to an improvement.  No definite date has been given for its release (April-ish 2006) through Lions Gate Films - but it will be rated R, for strong zombie violence/gore, language, nudity and brief sexuality.   The cast, this time around, will include Sid Haig as Professor Curien, as well as Emmanuelle Vaugier, Ed Quinn, and Sticky Fingaz.  Those of you who have Real Player can click here to check out the new trailer for the film.
