Soon his pregnant wife is captured for her unborn child, which is sought after for part in an ancient sacrifice. Here is the report as it came from Brothers Cleveland Productions...
Texas based Brothers Cleveland Productions, an independent producer of motion pictures, announces the completion of principle photography on its first feature film, "Soul's Midnight," a modern-day vampire horror film.
The film is a co-production of Brothers Cleveland, Graymark Productions, and Image Entertainment. Soul's Midnight is directed by noted filmmaker Harry Basil ("Cloud Nine," "Back by Midnight") and will feature the accomplished stage, screen and Emmy-award winning actor Armand Assante ("Unfaithfully Yours," "Private Benjamin," "The Mambo Kings" and "Gotti") as its lead.
Soul's Midnight is written and produced by Brian and Jason Cleveland, with Gray Frederickson, Academy Award winner of "The Godfather Trilogy" and "Apocalypse Now" serving as executive producer.
"We are huge fans of horror and vampire movies," said Brian Cleveland, "and we wanted to create a movie that we ourselves would want to go see. This is a scary, sexy, bloody, and violent film. Everything a vampire movie should be."
"We believe Soul's Midnight will be an exciting new chapter in the vampire genre and that audiences around the world will appreciate vampires that are as intelligent as they are brutal," said Jason Cleveland.
The story follows Charles Milford, and his pregnant wife, Alicia, as they are summoned to a small Texas town for the funeral of his father; a man Charles believed was already dead. Sensing that all is not what it seems, Charles embarks on a search for the truth about his father's death. He soon learns that he is the blood descendant of Saint George, the famed dragon slayer.
When Alicia is kidnapped, Charles discovers that he was brought to town by a coven of vampires, who want his unborn child for an ancient ritual sacrifice called SOUL'S MIDNIGHT. The dead will rise and walk the earth again unless Charles can stop the evil that preys on his family ...
Also appearing are Miguel Perez ("Million Dollar Baby", "Magnolia"), Lucila Sola ("Pride and Prejudice"), Robert Floyd ("Sliders"), and Elizabeth Bennett ("NCIS", "CSI: New York").
The film is scheduled for release in 2006.
