NOTLD Survivors Cut Cover Art

About 6 months ago, when I was in charge of that “other” site I told you about a nifty little project titled Night of the Living Dead – Survivors Cut.  In case some of you are not familiar with the project let me give you a little refresher.

Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is a public domain film.  What that means is that just about anyone can take it and do whatever they damn well please with it.  A man by the name of Dean Lachiusa took Romero’s classic and added some footage and reedited it a bit and came up with a rather amazing new take on the classic film. 

Lachiusa handles the film with love and respect and what he ends up with is definitely worth a look.  Tonight brought news that Dean has gotten himself a deal to get the film released on DVD and to also pass along the DVD cover art, which you see there on the right.

The film is being released as part of the “Local Legends” series that BijouFlix Releasing is producing.
