Edwige Fenech Joins the Cast of HOSTEL: PART II

Eli Roth is currently ensconced in the filming of his follow-up to his successful film HOSTEL.  Jay Hernandez is returning in the role of Paxton (it will be interesting to see what he does on the heels of killing off the surgeon-wanna-be at the end of the first film) and the rest of the cast consists of Roger Bart, Richard Burgi, Lauren German, Vera Jordanova, Bijou Phillips, and Heather Matarazzo.  Also in the cast is French actress Edwige Fenech, a veteran of Italian giallo horror films such as WHAT ARE THOSE STRANGE DROPS OF BLOOD DOING ON JENNIFER’S BODY?, FIVE DOLLS FOR AN AUGUST MOON, ALL THE COLORS OF THE DARK, STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER, and THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH to name a few.  Fenech has been missing from the silver screen for a good number of years; she’s been the president of Fiat in Italy since May 2004.   

Having amassed a considerable filmography over 20 years, she’s appeared in a good number of Italian sex comedies and also made films in Germany and Spain.  Known for disrobing with few inhibitions, Fenech will hopefully become known to a new generation of fans who are for the most part unfamiliar with Italian exploitation films of a bygone era.  Several of her titles are available on DVD, with (hopefully) more to come in the future.
