Simon Baker, in a conversation with Sci Fi Wire, made it clear that he was eager to work on a new "Dead" film with George Romero. Although nothing is set in stone, Romero has told press the possibility of a new one, primarily due to the film's foreign grosses and DVD sales.
Baker: I know the idea of it was alwaysand I think that most of George's films do thisthe whole idea is the main curse is never solved . . . it's about the different periods of time in history with the plague, with this plague that doesn't go away.
In the past, Romero has suggested that Land might lead to another sequel, which fans dubbed World of the Dead. However, the progress of these proposed sequels is entirely up to who supports and funds Romero's work. After the iffy amount of money scared up by Land, will Baker's wishes be fulfilled?
