The last few days have been an interesting ride for those of us looking for a new Halloween film.  The other day Fangoria reported that none other than Rob Zombie was in talks to direct the next installment in the franchise.  For a mag with the reputation of Fango to make such a statement it had to be mentioned somewhere to someone pretty high up in the horror feeding chain for Fango to run with the rumor. 

Today though none other than Mr. Zombie himself has shot down the rumor with a posting on his My Space blog where he pretty much states that Fango don’t know what they hell they’re talking about.  Hmmmm.

So, what is actually up?  Who the hell knows.  Zombie says he knows nothing about it so I guess that is what we run with for now but I have a feeling we haven’t heard the last of this one.  We’ll be keeping a close eye and will pass along any other info as we think we should.
