May 31, 2006,

I told you a few days ago about all the Halloween goodness that Anchor Bay has in store for us in the coming months with the release of the Halloween docu and Halloween 4 and 5 making their Divimax debut on July 25th.  This morning brought the official press release from Anchor Bay which I am posting in it’s entirety so you’ll have all the info that we have.  Read on and learn:

In the pantheon of modern movie monsters, Michael Myers has been scaring moviegoers and horror fans for a quarter century. Ever since his first appearance in master horror director John Carpenter’s seminal 1978 film “Halloween,” Michael has slashed his way into our collective unconscious, enduring through eight sequels (to date) to become one of the most successful horror franchises in film history.

Anchor Bay Entertainment, an IDT Entertainment company, celebrates Michael’s lethal legacy with the July 25th DVD premiere of Halloween: 25 Years Of Terror. A brand-new, comprehensive retrospective that chronicles the “Man” and the movies, Halloween: 25 Years of Terror is narrated by P.J. Soles (“Lynda” in the original Halloween) and features interviews from more than 80 filmmakers and actors including Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Clive Barker, Rob Zombie, Danielle Harris and more. Halloween: 25 Years of Terror arrives on DVD as a two-disc set, loaded with bloody-good bonus features including fan convention panel footage and an exclusive comic book inspired by the series. SRP is $19.98.

Halloween: 25 Years of Terror features such sinister supplements as:

Extended celebrity interviews

Halloween II extended interviews

Halloween III extended interviews

Halloween 5 On-Set Footage

Featurettes: “Horror’s Hallowed Grounds,” “Fans of Halloween”
