Apr 18, 2006,

What is the deal with all of these Oscar winning actresses stepping into the horror genre lately?  I don't know how to feel about it honestly. I mean they are all great actresses, like Nicole Kidman and Hiliary Swank, but why the sudden decision to do horror films?  Well it's time to add another one to the list.  Renee Zellweger has signed on to star in the new horror film Case 39 where she will play a case worker who saves an abused 10 year old girl from her parents only to find out not all is as it seems.  Paramount Pictures is putting the film together and is looking for a director as we speak.  Zellweger just recently dropped out of a different Paramount horror film, the American remake of The Eye.  At least the actress is tackling original material instead of another remake of an Asian horror film.  Stay tuned to the House of Horrors for the latest!
