Mar 13, 2006,

Think what you will of the Sci-Fi Channel, they are pretty much our only source of genre stuff on cable or satellite TV.  They are serving up a tasty little treat for us this week when they air a behind the scenes look at V for Vendetta.  Here is the info:

V For Vendetta:  Behind the Mask

Thursday, March 16th at 11 PM ET/PT on SCI FI

Before the feature film, V For Vendetta, hits theaters, catch a sneak peek of mysterious freedom fighter ‘V’ in V for Vendetta:  Behind the Mask on SCI FI Channel Thursday, March 16th at 11 PM ET/PT.  This exclusive 30-minute behind-the-scenes special takes an in-depth look at the Wachowski brother's dark and uncompromising vision of the future.  Unmasked will feature footage from the film, as well as on-set interviews with the cast and crew, including Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea, director James McTeigue and producer Joel Silver.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, V For Vendetta is a political thriller that tells the story of a young working-class woman named Evey (Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as “V.”  Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual – a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance.
