The Horror Channel has been working close with the people behind Brotherhood of Blood - the new Ken Foree vampire movie - and they've got their hands on a few nice stills. Ken Foree is one of my favorite actors - Im glad to see him in anything. It'll be cool to see him headline again. No trailer or official page on this yet, but we'll keep you posted. Here's the news from Horror Channel, and the stills to boot...
As promised to us a while back, today we got a few brand-new stills from the upcoming Ken Foree vampire movie, Brotherhood of Blood. These are the first shots of Ken from the movie, so I hope you enjoy them!
"Ken Foree plays the role of Stanis, a vampire who gets captured and tortured by vampire hunters," co-director Michael Roesch tells us. "He is the sole survivor of a massacre, where nearly the whole group of vampire hunters was rubbed out," co-director Peter Scheerer adds. "When vampire hunters Carrie (Victoria Pratt) and Keaton (Jason Connery) catch this vampire, they assume that he knows more about the dark secret behind the assault..."
Roesch also gave us some background as to what is going on in the pics you see here; "The pictures are taken from the scenes when Carrie and Keaton are starting to torture the vampire, to find out what he knows. First the hunters think that they are in control of the situation, but soon they have to learn that it is a deadly risk for them to hold a vampire captive..."
"Ken is a great actor." Peter tells about the shooting. "To shoot these torture scenes, we needed to chain him on a wooden torture table, for 12 hours a day, day after day," I'm sure thats more grueling than anything Rob Zombie put him through on Rejects, where he just had to count money, drink, get high, and slap pretty girls on the ass.
Michael added; "It was a terrific performance, which is even more impressive when you imagine how uncomfortable this torture table was."
This final photo shows directors Michael Roesch (left) and Peter Scheerer (right) on the Brotherhood set with an extra - a dead, burnt vampire. The film is currently in postproduction and a fall/winter release, hopefully theatrical, is being planned out as we speak. Keep it here for more as we learn it!
