Variety is reporting that a director has been named for the Friday the 13th project that New Line and Platinum Dune is getting ready to kick off. This one is gonna come at us fast and furious. I think they really are going to push for the Oct. 13th release date.
Word is that final negotiations are under way to bring Jonathan Liebesman in to fill the directors chair. You should remember him from Darkness Falls. Mark Wheaton is handling writing duties on the new Friday project which will reported bring in concepts from all of the early F13 films.
