Feb 2, 2006,

I know you've all been waiting for this one.  Neil Marshall, whose Dog Soldiers is one of the most entertaining movies of recent years, is finally getting a release in America for his balls-to-the-cave-wall horror actioneer, The Descent.  Lion's Gate (are these guys not the coolest distributor in movies right now) will be putting this baby on the big screen in August of 2006.

The Descent concerns a group of girl adventurers who venture into a cave system.  As tensions mount between the characters, mutants start popping up and attacking them.  This may sound similar to The Cave, which came out last year, but there's a key difference.  The Cave was not good.  The Descent is supposed to be awesome.
