I hadn’t heard of this one yet but today I got word on a new DVD heading our way the end of February, February 28^th to be exact.  The film is titled AXE and here is what we know:

In the hazardous terrain of the California desert two young women, with a satchel of stolen cash, are on the run from the motorcycle gang they accidentally stole the cash from and an axe-wielding serial killer who has just escaped from prison. The bikers are out for payback and the money. The killer is out for blood!

AXE stars Jason London (Dazed and Confused, The Rage: Carrie 2), Darlena Tejeiro (All My Children, Starsky and Hutch) Andrea Bogart (The Last Run, DarkWolf), and Joe Goodrich (Monster Man, Gacy).  The film was written by Dred Ross (When Cupid Dances...) and Eyal Sher (Tzahal 1), and directed by Ron Wolotzky (Dream On, Campus Cops).  The film was produced by Ron Wolotzky (El Muerto, Dahmer, My Best Friend’s Wife).

Raven (Tejeiro) and Ashley (Bogart), two young women returning from a rock-climbing expedition, find themselves harassed by a group of bikers at a dusty bar in the desert. With surprise and guile on their side, the girls escape by stealing the leader's bike. Within minutes the furious biker gang is in hot pursuit through the hazardous terrain. Believing they have evaded the bikers, the girls discover a satchel of cash on their damaged bike and stumble across the desert to a small motel. The owner, Ned (Goodrich), has agreed to drive them into town when suddenly the bikers appear, and they're looking for payback and the money.

DVD Features include: Widescreen Format, Director’s Commentary, Interactive Menus, Scene Selection, Trailers and Optional Spanish Subtitles.
