According to Production Weekly, Michelle Trachtenburg (Eurotrip, Ice Princess) is set to star in Dimension's remake of Black Christmas. The film will be directed by Glen Morgan, with production set for the end of January in Vancouver.
Bob Clark's original Black Christmas is the story of a sorority tormented with disturbing phone calls (sure to be cleaned up) and a mysterious killer (sure to be exposed) during the Christmas season.
Elizabeth Winstead, Katie Cassidy and Oliver Hudson will also star. Cedric the Entertainer will fill every other roll, and a star of the original will make a cameo to shut all the fans up while everything else is butchered. Alright, I made those last two up.
Sorry to sound pessimistic, but is there anyone who doesn't know how this will turn out? Who knows, maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised. But expect a one-sheet that rips off the Saw poster in the coming months.
