Oct 23, 2005,

Okay, this isn't that big of news but it did give me a reason to post this great picture of Charlize Theron....

The Fanthom website is reporting that two of Hollywood’s heaviest hitters are teaming up for a pseudo genre film.  Here is the report:

According to the Fathom website, an all-star cast headed by Al Pacino and Charlize Theron are set to star in the action blockbuster "The Sign".

The film, directed by Eric Schwab, is about "A Jewish professor who is kidnapped, and his nephew and a young female colleague must rescue him from a cult and prevent them from from ending the world".

Also in talks to star in the ensemble film are Harry Connick Jr., Jake Weber, James van der Beek, Michael Keaton, Ben Kingsley, Will Patton, David Caruso, and Kris Kristofferson.

Pacino and Theron were previously in "Devils Advocate" together.

Theron has been on a roll lately garnering both critical and popular success.  It would be nice to see some big names bring us a genre gem.  We’ll watch what happens on this one.
