Coolie No. 1 Movie Story

Jeffery Rozario (Paresh Rawal), a Goan hotelier wants his daughter Sarah (Sara Ali Khan) to get hitched to a ‘stinking’ rich man. When Pandit Jai Kishen (Javed Jafferi), a matchmaker brings a marital relationship proposal for Sarah, Rozario humiliates him and the kid’s family due to the fact that “inn logon ka rishta Pehle se gareebi ke saath judda hua hai.”

An angered Kishen who considers his self-respect to be his pride, decides to teach him a lesson and discovers the best opportunity when he comes across Raju Coolie (Varun Dhawan), a railway porter. On the other hand, Raju is currently smitten by Sarah after having a glance at her picture.

Determined on looking for vengeance from Rozario, Jai Kishen convinces Raju Coolie to charm Sarah by posing as a billionaire, Raja Kunwar Mahendra Pratap Singh. The greedy Rozaria falls victim to Jai Kishen-Raju Coolie’s conspiracy and ends up getting his child wed to Raju. On the other hand, triggers fly in between Raju’s mechanic friend Deepak (Sahil Vaid) and Sarah’s sister Anju (Shikha Talsania).

Review

Coolie No. 1 Redux has to do with a marriage broker out to avenge an insult from a former customer. Pandit Jai Kishen (Jaaved Jaaferi) brings a family to satisfy the child of the gold-digging Jeffery Rozario (Paresh Rawal) who embarrasses him since he wants a billionaire for his lady. Jai Kishen swears vendetta and for this purpose, finds a poor orphaned porter called Raju (Varun Dhawan) the “coolie” of the title at a train station to fix him up with Ms Rozario, Sarah (Sara Ali Khan). The catch is that Jai Kishen, now camouflaged as a curly-haired south Indian called Jackson, gets Raju to pretend to be the child of a wealthy man (Anil Dhawan) in an intricate plan that has more loopholes than the chhed (holes) with which Robinhood Pandey threatened to riddle Chhedi Singh’s body in Dabangg.

Certainly, stories in this genre are not indicated to be evaluated for reasoning. They require a suspension of shock that enables the audience to swallow the possibility that a wig or a new accent, a fake mustache, or colored contact lenses are enough to encourage normal people that you are a various person from the one they earlier fulfilled. I do not understand about you, but on a day when the stars’ comic timing and the rate of the narrative are spots.
