American Horror Story Review:
Not being too fond of series in general, I gave little hope that I could watch American Horror Story until the end. To my greatest surprise, it fascinated me from start to end!
The plot is simply excellent, and delivers major surprises in almost every episode while managing to keep the best surprises for the brilliant finish that are the last two episodes.
The first few episodes almost feels like separate stories, introducing a huge number of ghosts and patients. It is a very entertaining way of getting to know all the characters, which will be necessary for the huge mess that is to come. The story really picks up after the fifth episode and remains fascinating until the very end.
Toward the end, the house is filled with so many ghosts that it is impossible to guess what will happen next, but the series is never confusing and, unlike most series, actually answers all the questions at the end of this season, allowing this first season to be a wonderful stand-alone, and the franchise to continue with Season 2 on a fresh new note!
The acting is superb and features both good new actors and famous ones, with a special mention for Jesssica Lange (Cape Fear; King Kong) who enlighten all the American Horror Story seasons by her presence.
