A Serbian Film (2010) Synopsis:

A retired porn actor, now settled with wife and kid, accepts to take part into a very special “art film” in exchange for money, the catch being that he cannot know the scenario in advance.

A Serbian Film (2010) Review:

A very sick movie that deals with extremes in art. How far can someone go when it is about art? Well, this movie succeeds in pushing it very far! I think that the two guys that made this movie must have had some precise ideas of what the movie should mean, but I confess that I did not really get it and I personally did not enjoy the movie. Layla introduces Milos to Vukmir – a mysterious, menacing and politically powerful figure in the pornographic business. A leading role in Vukmir’s production will provide financial support to Milos and his family for the rest of their lives.

A contract insists on his absolute unawareness of a script they will shoot. From then on, Milos is drawn into a maelstrom of unbelievable cruelty and mayhem devised by his employer, “the director” of his destiny. Despite the original concept, A Serbian Film appeared to me as a succession of sick scenes bound together by a very poor scenario. For people that like the extremely shocking movie only.
