The unmistakable facade that doubles as the PSYCHO House on the Universal backlot is unquestionably one of the most famous movie icons in the world.  Even people who have not seen Alfred Hitchcock's masterful 1960 film version of Robert Bloch's novel of the same name know that evil lurks behind the front door.

Built in 1959, the PSYCHO House featured prominently in the film, with the infamous Bates Motel (torn down in 1979 and rebuilt for the sequels) just off to the side.  The house became a fixture of the Universal Studios tram tour which began in 1964.  Since then, the house has been moved and has fallen into disrepair, which is strange considering that the series is still going strong in the form of cables BATES MOTEL.

A petition has been created here to allow fans to sign their name and explain why the house should be preserved for future generations.
