Confession time. I am a huge metal fan and I am also a huge Howard Stern fan and today those two worlds collided. Stern show regular RICHARD CHRISTY is one hell of a drummer, I'm talking stupid good.
He's teamed up with a bit of a hometown hero from where I live. Tim "Ripper" Owens is a bit of a local legend here in Northern Ohio. He of course is the dude who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest and was the inspiration for the film ROCK STAR. After he left Priest he was back int he area here for a while but now he is back doing what he does best, letting it wail. Christy and he are now band mates in CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED and you have got to hear it to believe it.
I haven't yet heard their whole debut album but I have heard their debut single titled GHOST TOWN. The video is below and while I don't think much of the video itself I do love the song and it is so great to hear Owen's doing his thing again.
