Still not sure how I feel about this HANNIBAL TV show but NBC sure loved the hell out of what they saw on paper.  So much so that they ordered up the first thirteen episodes right out the gate.  Almost unheard of in the TV environment today.  Even a show like THE WALKING DEAD started off with one of those six week trial shots before getting a longer contract.  Point being, this must be some awesome shit.

All has been quiet since announcing the show but a today brings the news via DEADLINE that Hugh Dancy has been cast as Will Graham.  Ed Norton played him in RED DRAGON and William Peterson before that in MANHUNTER, both excellent films (although I find RED DRAGON to be the more choice of the two.).

Now, who the hell is Hugh Dancy?  Well, he is married to Clarie Danes and has had a couple roles, most notably in Showtime's critically acclaimed THE BIG C.  I'm sure he will do just fine.

The show HANNIBAL will focus on the Lecter/Graham relationship that we just got a glimpse of in RED DRAGON.  Should be some good stuff there.  It will be interesting to see just exactly where they go with things.  NBC is mum for now but as production ramps up news is sure to spill.

No word yet on who will play Lecter.  Another huge casting choice.  Hopkins has set the bar pretty high on that one.  As soon as I hear, you'll know.
