LOINSGATE today released the info for their upcoming DVD release of DAYBREAKERS the Ethan Hawke starring vampire flick that kind of came and went pretty quickly at the cine-plex.
May 11th is the day.
In this era of everyone being so in love with the "romantic" vampire tale I think this one just had a hard time fitting in but it is a better than average action film and I'm thinking it will find its audience on home video.

Making its Blu-ray Disc and DVD debut this Spring, the film stars
two-time Academy Award nominees Ethan Hawke (Actor in a Supporting
Role, Training Day, 2001 and Adapted Screenplay, Before Sunset, 2004) and Willem Dafoe (Actor in a Supporting Role, Platoon, 1986 and Actor in a Supporting Role, Shadow of the Vampire, 2000).
Written
and directed by The Spierig Brothers, audiences are introduced to a
futuristic world - where vampires reign supreme and blood is big
business. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must
capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute
before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a
remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
In-depth bonus materials include the featurette, Making of Daybreakers,
audio commentary with the directors and special effects creator Steve
Boyle, a poster gallery and the theatrical trailer. Exclusive to the
Blu-ray Disc is an extended feature-length version of the Making of Daybreakers
that spans the filmmaking process, a short film from the directors
entitled The Big Picture, Bonus View Storyboard and Animatics film
comparison and a second disc containing digital copy.
