I guess this film actually had a limited theatrical run back in December. It must have been really limited because I don't even remember hearing about this one.
It's called THE NEW DAUGHTER and it stars of all people KEVIN COSTNER. Not exactly who I think of when it comes to genre fare.
Anchor Bay announced today that they will be releasing the film to DVD on May 11th.
Here's what the project is all about:
Costner stars as John James, a
single father who moves to a house in the country with his two children
following a painful divorce. Soon, however, his adolescent daughter
(Ivana Baquero) begins acting strangely, and the household is plagued
by disturbing events. John begins to suspect that the mysterious mound
at the edge of the forest may have something to do with her ominous
behavior.
It's a PG-13 flick and the disc will feature an audio commentary by director Luis Berdejo, a The New Daughter: Behind The Scenes featurette and a theatrical trailer.
THE NEW DAUGHTER will also be released on Blu-ray the same day.
